The Bhagavat Gita is one of the main religious literature in the Hindu way of life. It contains about 700 verses divided into 18 cantos. It is the essence of the philosophy contained in the Upanishads and is a part of the Mahabharata which describes the story of the Pandavas and the Kouravas. The development of the various incidents in the life of the Pandavas and the Kouravas ultimately leads to the war in Kurukshetra wherein the Pandavas finally win the battle. When Arjuna, the great warrior of the Pandava brothers sees the Kourava army in the battlefield, he is overwhelmed with concern because they are all his kinsmen. He gets terrified. Not because of fear of battle but because of emotions. Krishna who is the incarnation of the Almighty God was acting as his charioteer. Arjuna tells Krishna, ‘My limbs give way. My mouth is getting parched. I feel shaky. My bow slips from my hand. My skin burns all over. My mind is whirling as though I cannot hold on to myself. I see evil portends.’ A conversation ensues between Krishna and Arjuna and this conversation is the Bhagawat Gita. This audio book is primarily a recitation of the verses of the Gita. A brief synopsis of each canto is also given before its actual recitation. I am simultaneously publishing this also as a book which will be available in the market place of major booksellers. This audio book is divided into three sections, each containing six cantos. This is the second section containing cantos 7 to 12.

Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Stotram
The Vishnu Sahasranama Stotram is one of the very popular and important hymns in the Hindu way of life. It is a hymn in praise of the Almighty God represented as Vishnu and is recited in almost every household, particularly in the southern part of India. This hymn occurs in the Mahabharata. It was the end of the Kurukshetra war. The patriarch of the family, Bhishma Pitamaha was injured and was lying on a bed of arrows waiting for the arrival of the auspicious time of Uttarayana to leave his body and to reach the lotus feet of the Lord. Yudhishtira, the eldest of the Pandavas, meets him and there was a conversation that ensued between them on matters relating to action and righteousness. In reply to certain questions asked by Yudhishtira, Bhishma imparts Yudhishtira the Vishnu Sahasranama. ‘Sahasra’ means thousand and ‘nama’ means name. So, Vishnu Sahasranama translates as, ‘one thousand names of Vishnu’. This comes in Section 149, verses 14 to 120 of the Anushasanika Parva of the epic. Each of the names in the Sahasranamam is full of significance and refers to one particular quality, characteristic, or attribute of the Almighty and invokes a sense of bonding with him. The meanings of these names indicate the deep connection between the name and the Almighty. This enables one to understand the greatness of God. The recitation of the hymn is done in three parts. There are a few introductory verses. Then comes the actual Sahasranamam listing the one thousand names. The concluding part is the phalasruti which spells out the benefits that will accrue from hearing or reciting the hymn. Regular chanting of the Vishnu Sahasranama Stotram or even listening to it daily inculcates a sense of gratitude to the Lord and helps us in many ways. Listen or recite and get the blessings of the Almighty God.

Sri Lalitha Sahasranama Stotram
The Lalitha Sahasranamam is one of the important and famous hymn in the Hindu way of life. It is a hymn in praise of Lalitha Tripurasundari also called as Lalithambika. According to the Vedas, God is one without a second. Everything in this Universe is nothing but this divinity. Ordinarily, this abstract doctrine cannot easily be comprehensible to all. Most of the Hindu Puranas therefore present God in various forms including that of a human being so that this idea can be easily assimilated and adored. Lalitha Tripurasundari is one of the finest product of this line of thinking. The Lalitha Sahasranamam occurs in the Brahmanda Purana. It is a hymn that describes the 1000 various names of Sri Lalitha Tripurasundari as the Divine Mother. While doing so, the hymn provides a beautiful mix of poetry, romance, religion and philosophy. The Lalitha doctrine explains Goddess Lalitha as Chidswarupini and Anandarupini namely pure consciousness and blissful consciousness respectively. Human beings can remain cheerful in the world, like children playing by the side of their mother. Living exemplary lives, they finally find eternal rest on the lap of the Divine Mother. This is an audio book of the recitation of the Sahasranamam along with Purva Bhaga and Uttara Bhaga. I have separately published an audio book giving a brief overview by dividing the subject into sixteen segments. Hear and get the blessings of the Almighty Goddess.

A few gods and goddesses of Hinduism
The foundations of Hinduism are the eternal and supersensuous truths discovered by ancient Indian sages. These revealed Divine Truths are called the Vedas. According to the teachings of the Vedas, God is the One without a second — the absolute, formless, and only Reality. God is referred to as Brahman, the Supreme Universal Soul. It is said in the Vedas that by His mere will, Brahman manifests Himself as this universe. Hence, creation, preservation and destruction of this world are the three aspects of God. These three basic aspects of God are represented by the Trinity called as Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. There are also other deities in Hinduism to personify the various other endless powers and aspects of God. These are the gods and goddesses of Hinduism. A brief sketch on a few important gods and goddesses of Hinduism are given in this book which was published on Amazon Kindle store on 5th April 2017. In this audio book, a recitation of a hymn relating to the relevant gods and goddesses has also been added at the end of each chapter.

An Introduction to Intellectual Property Rights
AN INTRODUCTION TO INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS Intellectual Property is a subject of recent origin. We own houses, jewels, shares, money in the form of cash etc. These are the things we know as 'Properties'. These are tangible assets. We enjoy them as we own them. Unless and until we offer them to somebody else, these things which we own cannot be taken away and enjoyed by others. 'Intellectual Property', on the other hand, refers to the ownership of intangible and non-physical goods. It results from the expression of an idea. It is the property of your mind or a proprietary knowledge. Since it is the property of your mind, the moment it is divulged, the benefits arising from these ideas can be enjoyed by others. The concept of Intellectual property, therefore, provides that certain products of human intellect should be given the same protective rights that apply to physical properties. This is known as Intellectual Property Rights. It refers to the ownership of intangible and non-physical goods. It includes Copyright, Related Rights, Patents, Trademarks, Industrial Design and Geographical Indications. Since intellectual properties are intangible, it is more difficult to protect them than other types of properties. Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) helps to encourage and protect inventors and creators by giving them exclusive rights over their work for a set period of time. This book gives a brief introduction to the concept of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and the various components of IPR. It will be a useful book to the student community as well as the public at large. It was published in the year 2014. It is available as an e-book with leading booksellers. The author may be contacted at venkalp74@gmail.com in case printed copies of the book are needed.
