A 10 minute Course In Reincarnation: What You Need To Know Before You Go
'The absolute last word on this fascinating subject! Das explains everything you need to know about reincarnation via the teachings of his guru Bhaktivedanta Swami. Five stars!' Yoga Journal 'Here in just 10 minutes are the essential secrets of transmigration (reincarnation) from an ancient vedic perspective.' Ram Das Throughout history, some of the most thoughtful minds have advocated that life does not end with the death of our body, but continues via a process known as reincarnation. The Vedic literature of India advocates that the soul, or atma, gives life to the body. Life does not arise from a particular combination of material elements as some modern scientists theorize. At the time of death, we leave one body and enter a new one. That is called reincarnation. The concept is not as alien as it might seem. We can observe we change from one body to another throughout our lifetime. Our body at birth is completely different from our adult body. Yet throughout these changes, the conscious self remains the same. Similarly, the conscious self remains the same at death and transfers from one body to the next in the cycle of reincarnation. Our present body is the result of a long series of actions and reactions in previous lives. The law that governs this is known as karma: every action has a reaction. Our previous actions have produced our present body, and our current actions will determine our next body. Only in the human form can we free ourselves from the endless cycle of reincarnation, of birth and death, by re-establishing our eternal, loving relationship with Lord Krishna. As Krishna states in Bhagavad Gita “From the highest planet in the material world down to the lowest, all are places of misery wherein repeated birth and death take place. But one attains to My abode.. never takes birth again.”

It is true that some of the more virtuous and godly among us may escape the never-ending wheel of repeated birth and death however most are commanded to return to this material world by the process of reincarnation, or if they are particularly unlucky hover around this gross material sphere for untold eons as homeless, restless, disembodied, hopeless, spirits. It is of these unfortunate souls to whom we address this most unique Icon audiobook presentation. Here for the first time is the secret yoga of the ghostly realms. Here are the holy enlightened teachings on the subject by the most heralded gurus of our time, including Meher Baba, Bhaktivedanta Swami, Paramhamsa Yogananda and Swami Vivekananda. The Divine Lion: The Story Of Narasingha Dev
Narasingha Dev is the half-man half-lion avatar of Lord Vishnu. He is the Lord who bestows protection, removes enemies and evil spirits from his devotees, and protects them from Maya, or illusion. When his pure devotee Prahlada Maharaja, who was mere a boy, was threatened by own his father, King Hiranyakashipu, for no other reason except for his devotion to Lord Vishnu, Lord Vishnu appeared on earth as the dreadful Narasinghadev. The cruel Hiranyakashipu had a boon that he could be killed neither by a man nor an animal, not in the day and nor the night, neither inside nor outside, neither on the ground nor in the air, and not by any weapon. It was at dusk, when it is no longer daytime and not yet night, when Lord Vishnu appeared to protect Prahlada. Neither a man nor an animal, his lion head roared as he displayed his large teeth and his sharp nails shone as he grabbed Hiranyakashipu, placing him on his human lap – neither in the air nor on the ground. With no weapon, except for his sharp, long nails, he killed the evil king and saved the life of the young Prahlada. Narasingha Dev is very fierce to the enemies (impurities) but very gentle and sweet to those whose heart is pure. So sweet, that one devotee of Lord Narasimha, Paramahaṁsat yati Jiyar, wrote in a prayer: 'O Lord Nṛsiṁha, O Mukunda, Madhusūdana, Murāri, Vāmana, you are the shelter of the surrendered souls. O Lord of the demigods, cause of all causes, please do not neglect me. Kindly fulfill my desire of passing my whole life chanting your holy names.' Here is a moving dramatic telling of the 5000-year-old saga which will purify and uplift all listeners by Emmy-nominated actor Sripad Jagannatha Das. Das is a lifelong Bhakti yogi and devotee of Sri Krsna.

Neem Karoli Baba known to his followers as Maharaj-ji - was a great Hindu guru, mystic, and devotee of Lord Hanuman. He is very well known outside India for being the spiritual master of a number of prominent Americans who traveled to India in the 1960s and 70s, including spiritual teachers Ram Dass, and Bhagavan Das, and musicians Krishna Das and Jai Uttal. His ashrams are in India, and in Taos, New Mexico. Maharaji was a lifelong adept of bhakti-yoga and encouraged service to others (seva) as the highest form of unconditional devotion to God. There can be no biography of him. Facts are few, stories many. He seems to have been known by different names in many parts of India, appearing and disappearing through the years. His non-Indian devotees of recent years knew him as Neem Karoli Baba, but mostly as “Maharajji” – a nickname so commonplace in India that one can often hear a tea vendor addressed thus. Just as he said, he was 'nobody'. He gave no discourses; the briefest, simplest stories were his teachings. Usually, he sat or lay on a wooden bench wrapped in a plaid blanket while a few devotees sat around him. Visitors came and went; they were given food, a few words, a nod, a pat on the head or back, and they were sent away. There was gossip and laughter for he loved to joke. Orders for running the ashram were given, usually in a piercing yell across the compound. Sometimes he sat in silence, absorbed in another world to which we could not follow, but bliss and peace poured down on us. Who he was was no more than the experience of him. Here are his sublime life and teachings.

Learning From Neem Karoli Baba The Path Of Devotion
'Money should be used to help others.” 'Attachment is the strongest block to realization.” 'Love is the strongest medicine.' Neem Karoli Baba Known to his followers as Maharaj, Neem Karoli Baba was a noted guru, mystic and devotee of Lord Hanuman. Here is the essence of his remarkable life and teachings. He is known outside India for being the spiritual master of a number of Americans who travelled to India in the 1960s and 70s, the most well-known being spiritual teachers Ram Dass and Bhagavan Das, as well as musicians Krishna Das and Jai Uttal. His popular ashrams are in Kainchi, Vrindavan, Rishikesh, Shimla, Neem Karoli village, Lucknow, Delhi and Taos, New Mexico. Dr. Richard Alpert, a former Harvard professor and Timothy Leary cohort, was an icon of the hippie, LSD-fueled revolution of the 1960s. Thereafter, on a trip to India - like Clark Kent changing into Superman - he became the much-beloved spiritual teacher Baba Ram Das. His 1970s' iconic book 'Be Here Now' turned on a generation to the deep, non-sectarian spirituality within us all. Author Jagannatha Dasa became friends with Ram Das in the early '70s and traveled across America, playing Indian drums at his speaking engagements. The Divine Lion Narasingha Dev: Protector Of All
“I offer my respects to the great Lord Nrisimhadeva. You have nails and teeth like lightning bolts and are garlanded by a mane of flames. Chopping, cutting, tearing, and killing, please protect us, your devotees.” Lord Nrisimhadeva is an avatar of Lord Vishnu. His wonderful form is that of a half-man and half-lion. His wide open mouth displays a set of wonderful pearl-like teeth, with a growl to chase away the miscreants and any fears perturbing the hearts of his devotes. With magnificent nails, he has three eyes and is as radiant as the autumn moon; the lord’s charming face is a joy to look at! The Lord has four mighty arms, yet his limbs are as soft as butter. He is decorated with golden earrings, and His wide chest is resplendent like a lotus flower. His arms are embellished with jewel-studded ornaments, and he is armed with weapons such as the conch and disc. The Lord is an abode of all auspiciousness; although a lioness is generally very ferocious, she is very kind to her cubs. Similarly, although very ferocious to the non-devotees like Hiranyakashipu, Lord Nrisimhadeva is very, soft and kind to devotees like Prahlad Maharaja. Beyond Death: Real Ghosts & Spirits Of The Vedas
“When we die first we are taken to task by Yamaraj the Lord of death and taken to one of the twenty eight hellish planets to be punished before being put into a new body in the next life” Srimad Bhagavatam 'Those who are attached to their family, house, village or country do not receive a gross body made of material elements but remain in a subtle body, composed of mind, ego, and intelligence. Those who live in such subtle bodies are called ghosts. This ghostly position is very painful because a ghost has intelligence, mind, and ego and wants to enjoy material life, but because he doesn’t have a gross material body, he can only create disturbances for want of material satisfaction.' Gautama Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, was a spiritual teacher who lived in ancient India between the 6th and 4th centuries BCE. He is the founder of Buddhism, one of the major religions of the world. Buddha was born into a royal family, but he renounced his luxurious lifestyle at the age of 29 to seek the truth about life and the nature of suffering. He spent six years as a wandering ascetic before attaining enlightenment at the age of 35. The Buddha's teachings, known as the Dharma, revolve around the Four Noble Truths, which explain the nature of suffering and the path to its cessation. The core message of Buddhism is that suffering arises from craving and attachment, and that liberation can be attained through the practice of the Eightfold Path, which includes meditation, mindfulness, ethical conduct, and wisdom. The Buddha's teachings have had a profound impact on the spiritual and cultural history of Asia and beyond. His teachings spread rapidly throughout India and other parts of Asia, and they continue to inspire millions of people today. The Buddha's emphasis on non-violence, compassion, and the importance of the present moment has also resonated with many in the West. In addition to his spiritual teachings, the Buddha also provided practical guidance on social and ethical issues. He advocated for the abolition of caste distinctions, the treatment of animals with compassion, and the importance of community and social harmony. Buddha's teachings continue to be relevant and inspiring today. His teachings on the nature of suffering, impermanence, and the importance of self-awareness are particularly relevant in today's fast-paced and materialistic world.

Varnaprast The Sublime Yoga Of Renunciation: Conscious Retirement The Boomer Yogi's Guide
Varṇaprastha is a stage of life in the Vedic tradition often considered as the third stage in the four stages of life (āśrama) outlined in the ancient Vedas. Varṇaprastha, which means 'retiring into the woods,' is characterized by a gradual withdrawal from worldly affairs and a focus on spiritual pursuits. The stage of Varṇaprastha is typically undertaken by people in their fifties or sixties after they have completed their duties as householders and raised their children. In this stage, individuals are encouraged to devote themselves to spiritual pursuits, including meditation, prayer, and the study of religious texts, and detach themselves from material possessions and desires. During Varṇaprastha, individuals are expected to detach themselves from their families and communities gradually and to live an ascetic lifestyle. They may choose to live in seclusion in the forest or in a hermitage, or they may continue to live with their families in a more detached and spiritually-focused manner. The purpose of this stage is to prepare individuals for the final stage of life, sannyasa, in which they renounce all material possessions and dedicate themselves fully to spiritual pursuits. The stage of Varṇaprastha is considered an important part of the spiritual journey, allowing individuals to focus on their spiritual growth and prepare themselves for the eventual goal of liberation from the cycle of birth and death. As baby boomers retire and enter their later years, many are turning to spirituality and religion as a source of comfort and guidance. Some are seeking a deeper connection to a higher power, while others are looking for a sense of community and purpose in their lives. This trend has led to an increase in the popularity of yoga, meditation, and other spiritual practices among this generation. Narrated by author, Emmy-nominated actor, and lifelong Bhakti yogi Sripad Jagannatha Das.
