America, Mexico and Canada have been devastated by a series of tsunamis and seismic events in the year 2050. A totalitarian regime arose to quell the ensuing breakdown of law and order. Under the dictatorship of Ben Tyler and the Freedom Party, a ruthless police state emerged. It is confronted by the American Eagles, a band of patriots. David Mackintosh is caught up in the struggle as he uncovers the regime's plans to create a state where the workers are programmed Robotoids.
The novel covers a period of approximately one thousand years. The story falls into two parts.
In part 1, in the early part of the 22nd century, Jim Stewart wishes to introduce teleportation for the benefit of humanity but he is blocked by vested interests. He turns to the race known as the Sethi for assistance, and they convince him to move to their world.
In part 2, Earth is dominated by a powerful telepath and once again the Stewart clan seek help from an alien race called the tibants, who share a powerful booster to human telepathic abilities. The Stewarts return to confront the evil telepaths on Earth.
Earth Colony 150, EC150, lies at the limits of the territory of the Earth Confederacy, is a mining colony. Suddenly, shipments of ore cease and communications fell silent. An alien insect predatory life form, with telepathic abilities, has invaded. The race is dubbed the Siren bugs because they lure their prey by telepathic signals far out into space. The signals draw several space freighters to their doom.
Admiral Akiyoshi fears that the Siren Queen may gain control of an Earth Force warship and force the crew to fly her to Earth where the population would be doomed.
Jim Stewart realizes that only The Watchers can save them from enslavement to the powerful Sirens and he appeals to the Council for help. They agree to help but he has to pay an awful price to save Earth.
The Stewart family clashes with the shady Weiss family at a local rugby match. However, matters get out of hand and Jim Stewart’s police complaint is mysteriously dismissed through high level influencers. This prompts Jim to investigate the background of the Weiss family and he discovers that Johannes Weiss and his shady partner, Dr Elise Műrthen operate a Swiss clinic where 25 rich patients died under suspicious circumstances. Dr Műrthen has 2 sons of exceptional athletic ability and it is suspected that they have been genetically modified. The British and Russian governments compete for the technology and the bidding is intense. But who will be the first to produce a super soldier?
