Henrietta Dorothy Everett fue una autora británica nacida en Huskinson en 1851 y fallecida en 1923. Prácticamente desconocida a día de hoy, escribió siempre bajo el pseudónimo de Theo Douglas y gozó de una notable popularidad en su época. Cultivó tanto la novela como el relato de corte sobrenatural, llegando incluso a impresionar a Howard Phillips Lovecraft, quien la menciona en su famoso ensayo «El horror sobrenatural en la literatura».
