"Aranya Jain, 15, lives in London and studies at St. Paul’s Girls’ school. Reading, writing and art are her passions. Over the years, she has had the opportunity of visiting Masai villages in Kenya and Tanzania. She has always been struck by their frugal but happy existence. The Masai take very little from the earth and understand that all species are important and must be protected. This inspired her to write and illustrate this story."
