Parish church of Saint Mary in Lison. Portogruaro. Italy
The first mention of the name Lison is found in a document from 996 in which the Emperor Ottone III granted to Bishop Bennone of Concordia ownership of this territory. Lison is a small fraction of the town of Portogruaro, in the province of Venice. The church was built in 1564 by the head of the Venetian merchants Dolzoni, who possessed vast lands, in these places. It was consecrated on June 24, 1565. The interior of the church contains invaluable historical artifacts: 3 marble arches with Greek epigraphs. The artistic essence of this work is down to the high-level masters from the Byzantine capital. The arches were made in Constantinople, between the 5th and the 6th centuries. They did not arrive in Venice immediately after they were made, but after the plundering by the crusaders (including the Venetians) in Constantinople in 1204, during the Fourth Crusade. Also worthy of note are the capitals crowning two columns, placed at the right end of two arcs. These Corinthian capitals have the shape of a chalice and a crown with four acanthus leaves. Their form allows us to fix the date of their creation between the middle of the fifth and the beginning of the sixth century. The audio guide was made by experts in the field of history and art. It provides detailed information, from history and architecture and concludes with interesting and curious cases.

Basilica of Saints Felix and Fortunatus. Vicenza. Italy
The audioguide tells the story, describes the architecture and presents interesting facts about the basilica of the Saints Felice and Fortunato, a paleo-Christian monument of history that is rooted in the ancient history of the Roman Empire. Much evidence of the Roman presence was found in the territory of the church, during various excavations. Some of these finds are kept in the Civic Museum of Vicenza and the other in the Basilica Museum. Among the most significant finds are the Petronio Stele with an inscription and unbisselion (two-person seat) and a priestly and masterly scroll. Another curious find is the sacred altar of Venus, found in the masonry of the martyrion of the basilica. The church is dedicated to the brothers Felice and Fortunato, the vicentini martyrs, decapitated in Aquileia, in the times of Diocletian's persecution. One of the oldest and most important basilica sites is the Martyrion. At the bottom of the right nave is the entrance to this chapel dedicated to Sancta Maria Mater Domini. It was built in memory and in honor of the Saints Felice and Fortunato, but there are also relics of other saints. Only some fragments of mosaic have been preserved, mainly in the northwestern part of the church. In them there is the symbolism of the images and the spiritual grain that characterizes the mosaics of the grandiose Paleochristian basilicas. The best preserved mosaic composition is that of the winged lion, a symbol of the evangelist Marco. On the north side, there is the representation of a saint on a golden background. The grandiose representation of the sky vault, in the dome, presents the same iconography. You can examine the 3D model of the church and observe its interior through the MuByz App. The audioguide has been made by professionals in the field of history and art.

Oratory of San Marco. Rossano. Italy
The audioguide tells the story, describes the architecture and reports interesting facts about the oratory. Rossano is one of the most important cities of Calabria, under Byzantine rule, and here one of the most significant monuments of that time has been preserved: the Oratorio di San Marco, founded roughly in the X-XI century. During the restoration, fragments of admirable sculptures and frescoes of the Byzantine period emerged: a Madonna with Child, which was to be part of a much wider representation, perhaps throughout the church, as is usually found in the iconographic plans of the post iconoclastic Byzantine churches of age. The peculiar element of the architecture of San Marco's is the barrel vault, similar to those found on the island of Crete. Inside, you will find more of the church's eastern area with slightly projecting and specially arranged apses, and cylindrical lateral drums. The walls of the apses are bare, animated only by the opening of the double windows, while the mullioned windows open onto the drums. A point of interest is the altar table, which you will find in front of you, once you have crossed the space underneath the central dome. It is a burial element: a plate found alongside other sculptural fragments, during the restoration and, on the border, there are other geometric ornaments. The audioguide has been made by professionals in the field of history and art.
