Veronica Henry is an absolute delight, not only in terms of her wonderfully readable books, but also her bright lovely social media accounts. I’ve also been fortunate enough to attend the Fowey Literary Festival over the last few years to hear her speak about her own books and chat to other authors. Her latest book, Christmas at the Beach Hut (published 15th November by Orion) is a delicious festive slice of warmth and love. There really is nothing better than getting yourself cosy and comfortable to read the latest Veronica Henry! She has chosen some fabulous photos... I spluttered with laughter over the first, ahh’d with appreciation on the third, have learned a few new words, and now feel rather peckish!

The Book that made you first want to become an author:

The Wolves of Willoughby Chase by Joan Aitken - so much so I scratched her name out and put mine in its place!

Which bookshelf do you return to again and again?

These books are my stalwarts - the ones that inspire me and I read over and over.

Which was your most memorable book event?

Being given the Romantic Novel of the Year Award by Darcy Bussell for A Night on the Orient Express - pinch me!

A photo that sums up your love for the written word.

I love all these words and can relate to them all!

Your favourite reading snack?

Madeleines of course! They are very soothing to make and look gorgeous piled up.

What is your favourite writing spot?

This is taken from a seat at my favourite bar in Paris - I'd love to sit and write and watch who comes in and out of the Librairie opposite.
