The Mummy Synopsis

The Sect of Anubis have performed a three-thousand year old Egyptian ritual called ‘Palimsist’ on Angel Kostenko, an illegally trafficked young woman from the Ukraine. Through the ritual, the soul of Nebatah, an ancient Egyptian high priestess, has been transferred into the mind of Angel. Then by drinking the blood of Nebatah’s human host, the Sect will gain a further 33 years of life.However, before the ritual could be completed, the Sect’s sworn enemies, the Pyramid Club, attacked the ceremony. In the ensuing melee, Angel managed to escape, but not before Duncan Clarke, the youngest member of the Pyramid had thrust a calling card into her hand and told her he could help her.Angel quickly found herself lost on the streets of London and hunted by Ammit, ‘Devourer of Souls’ the demon dog guardian from the Land of the Dead who had come to either reclaim Nebatah’s soul or fill its void with the souls of members of the Sect of Anubis.Realizing that she could not survive on her own, Angel followed the card given to her by Duncan and arrived at the British Museum, the secret location of the Pyramid Club, where she started to hallucinate and collapsed into Duncan’s arms.Meanwhile, Mather and Clarence, leaders of the Sect of Anubis performed the Prayer of Returning rite that compelled Nebatah, in the body of Angel, to return to them.Duncan returned to Angel’s room to find her missing…
